This looks like fun. Messy, but fun. I’m convinced the girls are glad we came back to the States this summer to have baby Gabe. ;)
It makes me so happy to know that they’ve been enjoying lots of cousin time. I mean, few things in life are sweeter than swimming in irrigation water in your panties with a wet dog. Truly.
Eleven days after Gabe was born, my brother & his wife welcomed a little baby boy into their family, too.
My heart spills over when I think about the two of them together in heaven before they came to earth. I’m so happy that Gabe will have a little cousin to play with, a cousin his exact same age.
Jude Iver Jackson was born an hour & a half after his mama made it to the hospital. It’s an amazing birth story I tell ya’, but we’re all just glad he made it here safe.
(If I could draw the two of them together, this is what it’d look like, but for now, I’ll just use the cool effects in Picasa.)
I am so grateful for family. I am also so very lucky that my kids have lots of cousins to play with.
I stayed with my in-laws during the month of June, and we had a great time full of good ole farm-filled livin’. The girls were definitely not lacking in the attention department.

AnnMarie attended her first wrestling tournament to cheer her cousin Will on. Her & Drew obviously kept themselves entertained. I’m sad I missed it, but I have reason to envision myself attending many tournaments in the future. ;)

Miss AnnMarie got a new do just before her 5th Birthday. She was blessed with very fine hair which calls for a cute shape around the face. Like most girls her age, she wants ‘Rapunzel hair.’ I told her to focus on color, not length, & if golden was what she wanted…like Rapunzel, then she needed to trust me. ;)
Sometimes you just have to get creative when it comes to these mother/daughter conversations.
Her initial reaction was a little intense…
but then she loved it and wanted to flaunt it.
I’m sure I won’t always have a say in her hair styling decisions, but for now I do, and I must say, I think it looks pretty darn cute.
Gabriel Jared Wolfley

We love our Gabe. It means strong man of God. It means dedicated. It means leader. It’s perfect.
He was 6 lbs. 3 oz. & 19” long.
We are feeling so blessed. Jared made it home five days before his birth.
Our family of four is now a family of five.
I’m learning how to be a mother to three. I’m up through the nights, and I feel like a milk cow, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
Today is AnnMarie’s 5th Birthday, and it’s hitting me like a ton of bricks. It seems like just yesterday that she was my baby. It’s been a tender reminder of how quickly time flies.
Motherhood is a slice of heaven that is teaching me how to not only become a selfless person, but how to mature in my relationship with God. There is nothing greater than being a Mother. I count my blessings more & more each day that I get to be their mother, because all too soon, they will leave my nest and fly into their own lives leaving me with cherished memories and priceless photos of days like today.
